At the ConsumerElectronics Show (CES), D-Link has presented the next version of its app ‘mydlink’ that it will renew its management interface for video surveillance cameras and integrate the remote control of the new smart plugs and sensors of the company.
In addition, the new version of mydlink will add video recording and photos into the cloud, it will also offer support of virtual assistants such as the Google Assistant and Amazon’s Alexaand integration of the IfThisThenThat (IFTTT) platform. This application is free and will be available for iOS and Android by the end of January.
It should be noted that D-Link also presented at the CES 2018 two new models of its Smart Plug range of smart plugs, the DSPW115 plug and the DSP-W245 strip.Both can connect by WiFi to any ‘router’ and allow the control of appliances, perform automations and interactions with other devices.In addition, they respond to voice commands through Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant and are integrated with other solutions and ‘apps’ thanks to the IFTTT platform.
The company has also introduced new devices from its WiFiMesh family, which allow creating a unified WiFi network with several accesspointsin which the devices are automatically connected to the nearest one to improve coverage.Available until now exclusively for business solutions, this service extends to households and SMEs with the models COVR-2202 and COVR-C1203 with two and three access points, respectively.
