Google bought the Tenor GIF platform

Alphabet Inc, the Google matrix will acquire the Tenor GIF platform to help improve both the search and the ability to share animated images.

Google did not unveiled the purchase price, but said in a note on a blog that Tenor will continue to operate as a separate brand.

In another note, Tenor said it had more than 300 million users in 2017 and spent the 12 billion search orders per month this year.

The GIF manufacturer added that its founders David McIntosh, Erick Hachenburg and Frank Nawabi style will continue to lead the firm.
