Today, NVIDIA introduced NVIDIA Studio, a platform that greatly improves performance and reliability for 40 million of creatives working in Line and in studies from around the world, and that depend on a high performance PC to do their job.
NVIDIA Studio combines the GPU RTX and NVIDIA Studio Stack, which has specialized SDK and exclusive drivers Studio. Stringent software and hardware testing was performed to ensure compatibility with the best creative applications and workflows.
As a first step, today we launched 17 laptops RTX Studio in Computex, thanks to the collaboration with seven of the world’s leading PC manufacturers. All of them meet the software and hardware requirements needed to have the new RTX Studio insignia, which allows creators to easily identify the indicated laptops that can enhance their creative workflows.
“NVIDIA Studio combines the RTX GPU, which allows the real-time ray tracing, AI processing and high-resolution video editing with professional software to meet with the demanding demands of the creators today,” said Jason Paul , general manager of GeForce Software and technology at NVIDIA. “The new RTX Studio laptops are the perfect tool for creatives who need similar performance to desktop computers while on the road.”
The laptops have the new GPU Quadro RTX 5000, 4000 and 3000, as well as the GPU GeForce RTX 2080, 2070 and 2060. The GPU RTX accelerate the creation of content, from video editing to 3D rendering, with a performance up to seven times faster than the MacBook Pro. (1) The laptops with Quadro RTX 5000 include a 16GB graphics memory (the largest available for a laptop), allowing advanced creative workflows in various applications and the use of large 3D models that would otherwise be impossible to use in Laptops.
Many of these laptops have screens resolution 4K technology and NVIDIA Max-Q, that allow an incredible performance and longer battery life from design, elegant, thin and lightweight.
“Creatives using Adobe Creative Cloud look for the most powerful hardware for content creation, so they’re excited about the new RTX Studio and NVIDIA drivers Studio laptops,” said Sue Skidmore, partner relations leader in Adobe video.
NVIDIA Studio Stack
NVIDIA Studio Stack is a suite of software that provides content creators with the best performance and reliability when working with creative applications. It includes the NVIDIA Studio SDK and API for application developers, as well as the NVIDIA Studio drivers for the creators. The SDK of Studio accelerate rendering, video editing, processing, the animation of vectors 3D and much more. Developers of creative applications that use the platform for CUDA-X AI (the standard for the industry in terms of the development with AI) you can use this technology to automate time-consuming repetitive tasks such as image scalability, photo tagging, or video color matching.
NVIDIA Studio drivers undergo extensive testing with multi-application creative workflows and different reviews of the major creative applications of developers such as Adobe, Autodesk, Avid, Blackmagic Design, Epic, Maxon and Unity.
“The creators are constantly faced with deadlines set and rely on the hardware and the creative tools more recent to complete their projects on time without sacrificing quality,” said Eric Bourque, senior manager of software development at Autodesk. “We are excited that NVIDIA expands its driver Studio program to deliver the highest level of compatibility and performance to the latest versions of Arnold, 3DS Max and Maya.”
As of today, the latest NVIDIA Studio driver provides compatibility with recent versions of the best creative applications, such as Autodesk Maya 2019, Autodesk 3DS Max 2020, Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve 16 and Daz3D Daz Studio.
