Lenovo introduces ThinkPad P51s notebook

Lenovo Malaysia has introduced the ThinkPad P51s Workstation with the 7th generation (codenamed Kaby Lake) Intel Core i7 processor, keeping it on par with the latest chip technology available in the market.

Developed with engineers and architects in mind, the mobile workstation is equipped with the professional-grade Nvidia Quadro M520 2GB graphics card, making it ideal for users who are looking for top notch performance and functionality on the go, according to the company.

It’s also the thinnest and lightest mobile workstation Lenovo has produced, weighing in at only 1.99kg and 20mm thinness.

Despite its slender build, the workstation is designed to withstand rigorous use and wear and tear.

According to Lenovo, the P51s has been subjected to military-grade tests such as exposure to extreme levels of humidity, temperature, sand, high vibration, altitudes and mechanical shocks.

Other specs include 16GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB solid state drive storage and a battery that last up to five hours in a single charge.

The standard variant comes with a 15.6in full-HD IPS display. Also available are optional upgrades to a full-HD touchscreen or a higher resolution 4K (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) display.

It has plenty of ports too with three USB 3.0, one HDMI, one USB-C with Intel Thunderbolt 3, and a 4-in-1 SD card reader.

The price of the P51s starts from RM6,999 and will be available in stores from mid-July.
