At CES 2018 in Las Vegas, LG will present improved models of its popular line of monitors with IPS Nano technology that brings color reproduction capabilities to a whole new level. In response to the customer feedback, LG have added support for HDR600 with an even higher dynamic range of maximum brightness and new connectivity options with full compatibility with Thunderbolt 3.
LG’s new 32-inch 4K UHD monitor (32UK950 model) is the first to offer LG’s advanced IPS Nano technology. The Nano IPS technology involves the application of nanometer sized particles to the LED of the screen to absorb the excess wavelength of the light. This greatly improves the intensity and purity of colors on the screen for a more accurate and realistic viewing experience. This LG monitor can display 98 percent of the DCI-P3 color spectrum, when compared to the monitors used to show the Hollywood blockbusters. Ideal for users that search for excellent color reproduction, with its HDR 600 support users of the LG 32UK950 will experience a high dynamic range with a maximum brightness of 600 candela (cd / ㎡).
The LG 32UK950 model introduces the first Thunderbolt 3 screen base to support 4K serial chaining, allowing the configuration for dual 4K monitors. This LG monitor can be connected to Thunderbolt 3 laptops like the Macbook Pro through a single active Thunderbolt 3 cable, without the need for a charging adapter or not so good looking USB cables. With the use of a single Thunderbolt 3 cable this monitor shows 4k images and sound, while supplying enough charge to power a 60W laptop, simplifying any workspace. With its beautiful Edge-ArcLin base and its outstanding design without borders on all four sides.
Another important element of the CES 2017 is the 34 inch ultra wide monitor from LG (34WK95U model), that a offer a wide range of precise colors and viewing angles with an unreal 5K resolution (5120 x 2160 pixels). The first UltraWide 21K 9K 21: 9 monitor from LG is fully charged with a lot of on screen properties and dazzling colors. This latest 5K viewing experience is aimed at users who perform several large scale tasks such as video editors, photographers, programmers and app developers.
The 34WK95U model supports IPS Nano technology, fantastic color reproduction capabilities and HDR600. In addition the 34WK95U model has a Thunderbolt 3 port, which allows the transmission of 5K resolution images at 60Hz with a single cable. The Thunderbolt 3 interface is ideal for laptop users who want fast video, audio and data transfers without the need for a separate AC adapter. With its elegant and striking look, this LG monitor draws attention even when it’s off, with its screen design without edges and its slim ArcLine stand are a great addition to its clear image.
“Most of us spend hundreds of hours in front of monitors every month, however, it is one of the least likely products to update when you want greater productivity.” said Chang Ik-hwan, head of the IT business division for LG. “With latest LG premium monitors, we wanted to communicate that LG is absolutely committed to offering the best possible screen resolution and the best user experience in a desktop or work area.”
Another focus of attention on the LG stand will be LG’s latest QHD gaming monitor (34GK950G model), It offers superior image quality with IPS Nano technology and high speed G-Sync technology.
All this and more can be personally experienced at the LG # 11100 booth in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center during the CES 2018.
