It seems that the promised EKG function of Apple Watch series 4 can be supported in the upcoming watchOS 5.1.2 update.
The function will allow the portable device to take measurements of electrocardiograms using electrodes incorporated in the back of the clock and the digital crown, which will improve the capacity of the clock of Apple to measure and monitor the heart of each user.
The Apple Bite Company has already received FDA approval of type II for the Apple Watch in the United States, which, as Angela Chen explains, is not exactly the same as the full FDA approval of type III.
According to the training document, ECG functions will only be available in regions where the Apple Watch has been authorized for use, which appears to be only in the U.S. At the initial launch.
The updated version of watchOS 5.1.2 is in beta test for developers, but it is not yet known when the final version will be released.
